We first met Ann during Christmas of 2024.
Her story came to us quietly—she was a local grandmother in desperate need of a vehicle, and her situation had become urgent. Through our Handy Bros. Heroes program, we were able to surprise her with a car, just in time for the holidays. It was a beautiful moment, one that reminded us why we do what we do.

Months later, during the heat of summer, Ann called again.
Her air conditioner had stopped working completely. Our Comfort Advisor, Jess, was dispatched to help. After inspecting the system, Jess discovered that the entire AC unit needed to be replaced. Ann, unable to afford the cost, was preparing to tough it out through the heat—hoping her furnace would at least make it through the winter.
But we couldn’t let that happen.
Ann wasn’t just a customer. She was part of the Handy Bros. Heroes family. And family looks out for each other.
With the support of our Heroes program, we stepped in once again—this time to fully replace Ann’s ground-mounted HVAC system, giving her the cool air she needed now, and the warm air she’ll count on come winter.
No paperwork. No fine print. Just real help, when it mattered most.
Stories like Ann’s aren’t rare. All across our community, there are people quietly struggling, hoping someone notices—and cares enough to act.

Mitch has been a valued member of the Handy Bros. team for over 9 years. He began his journey in the installation department, quickly rising through the ranks into management, where he successfully led multiple departments. In 2018, Mitch and his brother Nic took ownership of Handy Bros., continuing the legacy with a fresh vision—Home Comfort Done Differently. Mitch is happily married to his beautiful wife, Jessica, and is a proud, devoted father. Outside of work, he’s passionate about health and fitness, and has a deep appreciation for delicious Portuguese cuisine. When it comes to travel, anywhere in Southern Europe is his happy place.
